1) Just to be upfront, Agent Casper was my highlight. He was be-suited and behaving all suit-y, and he has a crush on a superhero, so it was quite hard for me to pay attention to the plot or any other stuff.

2) What's the point of Scarlett Johansson's character? Exactly what power is she supposed to have?

3) Why does the most attractive actor have to be the digitally animated (not to mention giant and green) superhero? Or is it actually that my attractometer is tuned to the anti-generic one? (and/or the one who puts glasses on when he needs to sound intelligent)?

4) Eric Bana's aged incredibly well hasn't he? (yes, yes I know *now* that that's not Eric Bana, but throughout the whole thing I thought it was and was startled at why he was suddenly pinging the attractometer when he hasn't before).

5) It was good, maybe even worth another view, but they're hardly the Justice League are they?

6) Good to know Joss Whedon hasn't lost it

7) Batman is going to kick ass.

8) That arrow-wielding one (who got taken out *incredibly* easily for a superhero) has been evil in someting, what?

By the way, my one had the post-credits scene - although it was only me and four other people who got to see it.

1) Phil is excellent

2) Black Widow is a SHIELD agent, she doesn't need superpowers. You need to watch Ironman 2

3) I have no idea

4) Erm that's not Eric Bana

5) It was excellent. Justice League who?

6) Have you seen Cabin in the Woods yet?

7) I'm yet to be excited by the new Batman film.

1) He will always be Agent Casper to me
2) Still don't see the point of her. Typical rubbish use of women in superhero genre. Hawkgirl has a *mace*
4)That explains whyhe looks so much better!
5) I don;t deny it was excellent, but I'd still take the 20 minute animated JL cartoons.
6) Is that Josh Weedon too? oh dear...
7) Well then there is something wrong with you

"Well then there is something wrong with you"

You're probably right.

The Eric Bana version of the Hulk doesn't count as part of The Avengers films. I'm glad because it sucked. The Ed Norton film does count and is surprisingly good, much better than I thought it was going to be. Mark Ruffalo is a much better Banner/Hulk in my opinion.

Yes Cabin in the Woods is Joss Whedon's. I really enjoyed it.

I hated the Ed Norton version, which is odd because I love everything Ed Norton's ever done.

I've heard terrible reviews of Cabin in the Woods. I might think about seeing it now you've said it was good

I think I watched it from a place of 'it can't be as bad as the first one' and was pleasantly surprised.

Cabin in the Woods is an odd film but I can't tell you anything about it because of spoilers. I think anyone looking for a straightforward horror film is going to be disappointed. I thought it was very clever and very funny. Bradley Whitford is in it if that helps at all.

It is. I remembered it when I had to look up who wasn't Eric Bana. I'm resisting looking down the IMDB list. He was some sort of nasty serial killer type.

Aha! I think it was Angel. He was the serial killer that wasn't Angel when Angel slept-hunted. possibly

He is. I have no self control and looked on IMDB. I don't remember him at all. I may have to dust off my Angel DVD tomorrow.

I may not recognise Eric Bana unless he's stood next to someone that's not him, but if you've ever been in an episode of a sci-fi TV show, I've got you *marked*

I'm not a comic-y person, so I suppose there's a ton of backstory that I don't know about all the characters. I was just in it for the good lookine men.

2) From what I've gleaned (although this may be wrong) she was a Russian experiment in creating the perfect spy/assassin. She was recruited to the good guys after Hawkeye was supposed to kill her but didn't. She was in Iron Man 2, so some of that may be in there, I don't know, I've only seen it once and I don't remember.

3) Mark Ruffalo surprised me with his attactiveness. He had an air of rumpledness and beautiful eyes.

4) Did I miss Eric Bana? Or is this a joke I don't get because I'm not cool enough? I don't think I missed Eric Bana. I don't usually miss him. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that my Eric Bana radar is pretty well-honed.

In an elgin-marble moment of Izzie-ness I have confused Mark Ruffalo with Eric Bana. I genuinely thought that was him throughout the whole film.

I will never, ever get tired of the elgin marbles anecdote.

Although the profiterole in shoe incident was pretty funny too.

Coulson was my favourite too. I basically bought the entirety of The West Wing just because of Clark Gregg's appearances as Agent Casper, heh. And Scarlett Johansson's powers are being a completely kickass awesome superspy. Plus some more awesomeness.

He will forever be Agent Casper. Also he's playing Agent Casper in this. Just with bigger guns.

Sorry, have to disagree with you on Johansson's role. I get sick and tired of the "put her in tight clothes and make her kick stuff" approach to female characterisation. It's a superhero story, make her a superhero.

I have to admit, I kind of like that neither Natasha nor Clint are 'superheroes'. They're normal humans. Incredibly well-trained, international super spy assassin style normal humans, but human nonetheless. I think they're a good counterpoint. But, each to their own, etc etc.

From: [identity profile] lemonbella.livejournal.com
See, Batman owns the non-superhero superhero table. If you're going to go that way you've got to try harder than 'super spy assasin'.

Which post credits scene did yours have, the post-credits scene after the main credits of the mythical one after all the credits that apparently exists somewhere?

Date: 2012-05-12 10:56 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lemonbella.livejournal.com
ooooh. I didn't know that there were *two*. I had the one in the middle of the credits with the guy that's the rip-off of Darkseid. Is that one everyone had?

BTW I already have a Marvel ripoff of DC characters list for this film. I might watch the other Marvel films just so I can complete it.

From: [identity profile] indian-skimmer.livejournal.com
There's been talk of two. I was being glared at by ushers so I didn't get to stay to see if there was an extra one.

The rip-off thing is very good fun, (although occasionally check that dates. Not that DC would ever pinch superheroes or course) and sometimes they're not pinched from who you think they are.

i know there's pinching on both sides, i ustchoose not to listen to it
