Have been meaning to say thank you to the following people:

[livejournal.com profile] indian_skimmer, [livejournal.com profile] heatherbelles, [livejournal.com profile] fringedweller, [livejournal.com profile] akkrenskarin, [livejournal.com profile] writan_bur and [livejournal.com profile] make_a_move for your cards and presents.

When I've finally completed work at 11 tomorrow night, I should start feeling festive....
So I was going to write intelligently about the cricket (there's a first time for everything) but I really can't be bothered. Maybe at some point I will, but life is getting in the way and the cricket makes everything worse, so I'm pretending it isn't happening. I am however, still retaining my absolute faith that Chris Read is not only Rubbish (that was never in doubt) but is also Evil in some deep and karmic way.

Christmas has been okay, and none of my family have been slaughtered by a 5ft 7", 28 year old, ginger assailant, so that's always a plus. I am now in possession of exciting kitchen items (I think my Mum wants me to bake more - maybe she's trying to make me more marriageable), a new teapot, some pyjamas, and a portable ice cream maker. I am also in possession of Kent membership, - my family recognising a cricketing disaster when they see one and rescuing me - so Kent's successful campaign to win all four domestic trophies can finally begin.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] indian_skimmer for my Hoggy t-shirt (which got a comment from the postman when I opened the door to him in it). Simon the plush kangeroo made me laugh and then get all depressed and I'm defiantly using the keyring.
Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] fringedweller for the book and my Lorne thingymajig - I now have a set!.
Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] heatherbelles for my penguin doorstop, who is fabulous and holding my cupboard door open as we speak.
Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] slackeruk for the chocolate - gone!

I'm off to [livejournal.com profile] indian_skimmer's in a couple of days so we can braid each other's hair, watch sci fi, throw things at Paignton Zoo's Australian inhabitants and Ignore The Cricket together.

Happy New Year if I don't get around to saying it before the 31st.
So, I'm still not feeling festive-y. Feeling decidedly unfestive-y in fact, but festiveness will happen nonetheless. *puts on metaphorical reindeer antlers and smiles inanely*

I sincerely hope you're all in a more festive mood than me and what vestiges of festiveness I have, hidden somewhere deep within my soul, I am sending to you all.

That's a pretty good record for the word festive in an LJ post. My work here is done. I'm off to drink beer, watch Sci Fi and prod my presents until midnight.
