Academic! Izzie has returned...

lemonbellaI met up with a friend from uni tonight, and it made me remember how much I love learning things and being all academic. Therefore I have made a vow to do two things:
1) Work to try and get my MA dissertation published, the prospect of which has scared me rigid, mainly because of big rejection letters.
2) Try harder to find sources of funding for my PHD, again the prospect of people telling me to go away and stop bothering them scares me rigid.
3) Attempt to get some temp work as a sessional lecturer, even though it means giving up my evenings again. As long as it's not on Smallville night I should be fine.
Now I've written it down, it's harder to fall back into apathy...
Also, I've realised that's three things not two, so thank god I didn't study maths.
