Seventy Five Things about Me

1. I drink, on average, 8 pints of water a day. I feel very ill if I don't
2. I think giraffes are the definitive proof of evolution.
3. I do not like the indian dessert “Rasmalai”. It tastes like Tofu in milk.
4. I appear to always be attracted to men who would be very very bad for me in real life, and who everyone else would find incredibly irritating. It's probably best I'm single.
5. I have a 6 inch scar on my stomach from an interterception operation I had when I was 15 months old. It's a really good job I've never wanted to wear a Bikini.
6. My friend once appeared on TV with Richard Herring and Stewart Lee, using a competition entry I had written.
7. I have appeared on stage several times in my life. My starring role was as Lizzie Borden's best friend, but other highlights include “woman with flowers” in Romeo and Juliet.
8. When I worked as a waitress I used to encourage people to order the scampi so I could eat some on the way to the table
9. I had a pen friend called Richard for 10 years. We went to the same university and I've never met him
10. My favourite Beatle would have been John Lennon
11. I am staunchly anti-monarchy.
12. I always had to sing solos for school concerts because I had a very loud voice.
13. My Home Economics GCSE teacher called me Tracy.
14. I love swimming in the sea
15. The politician I most admire is Tony Benn
16. I once said the phrase “we are behaving sexually” instead of “we are behaving sensibly” to a school teacher.
17. When I was little I used to blame everything on Pootle from the Flumps.
18. I have an MA in International Relations and was given the student of the year award, of which I am still stupidly proud. Unfortunately I didn't get a badge
19. I used to be religious
20. I would love to swim the Channel.
21. I hate mints. I even hate fruit polos because they contain the essence of mint.
22. I will happily read text books before novels.
23. My brother Matthew nearly suffocated me as a child by hugging me too tightly.

26. I am very Pro-European Union
27. I think working as a care assistant in a residential home for the elderly is one of the most worthwhile thing I have ever done.
28. The only joke I can ever remember involves someone having sex with a goat.
29. I have one of only 2,000 copies of the Belle and Sebastian LP “Tigermilk”. I am unneccesarily proud of this.
30. I absolutely adore studying. There's a moment when an idea comes together in your head which is unlike anything I've ever felt. You could probably see the lightbulb.

33. I was once hit over the head by a tramp wielding a torch.
34. I have a friend who is 78 years old
35. I am petrified of the film Watership Down
36. I would be studying for my PhD if I had enough money.

48. Until last year I had every copy of the NME from 1992 until 1998
