I've been drinking alone.....

I am drinking beer alone on a saturday night. It probably says more about me that this doesn't really bother me at all.

I have sat in the house waiting for the plumber to arrive.
I have watched The West Wing and Smallville whilst waiting.
I have shouted at said plumber when he didn't bother turning up.
I have been to Yoga and got a round of applause for doing a particular move in the most spectacularly ungraceful way.
I have eaten an entire tub of Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
I have watched the fantastic Farenheit 9/11 in an empty cinema, and been outraged that the rest of the cinema screens were full. (Everyone should be forced to watch this film and have an opinion one way or the other, there really is no excuse for apathy.)
I have been depressed that I can't find a political job.
I have put lots of peices of writing onto my computer, in an effort to make them more permenant than the little scraps of paper suggest.
I have been annoyed by friends and their neverending and boring discussions of their boyfriends. I.Do.Not.Care
I have finished a wonderful book on Australian Nationhood ("Whitefella Jump Up")

And now I'm drinking beer on my own...

I can't decide whether it's a good day or a bad day.


I'm going to find a placard and protest somewhere.
