1. Who is your favourite character from #2? (Traders)
I started watching for Grant Jansky, and I still have a huge soft spot for him, but my love for Chris is growing exponentially. He's sarcastic, miserable and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the American civil war. He's completely frustrated by Marty's ignorance on anything other than trading. He's also written in such a way that we always get snippets of insight into his life but it's never developed, so you have to fill in the blanks yourself.
"Some hobbies require an ability to communicate with the dead." Fill in the blanks to that one.
2. Who is your least favourite character from #4? (SG1)
Vala, without a doubt. She's vacuous and pointless, and written how men see women (and how many women approach their lives in the mistaken belief that's what empowerment entails) not how women actually are. I know, feminist rant, believe me, I never thought SG1 would force me to do that…
3. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include? (West Wing/Smallville)
Wow, could you get two shows more diametrically opposed in terms of writing and continuity standards? Well, I actually have the outline of this on my hard drive somewhere. It involves Lex and Agent Casper and specially reinforced Secret Service underwear
4. Who is your favourite ship from #6? (Sports Night)
Casey/Dan. With occasional input from Jeremy.
5. If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be? (Atlantis and Sports Night)
Oooh. That's a good one. I'd probably go with Zelenka and Natalie. Natalie has a proven thing for nerds, particularly ones with knowledge of ice hockey.
6. If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be, and what would you do?
Can I include guest stars? If I can it'd be McKay, providing I had a weapon of some kind. But, since I suspect that's cheating, it would be Sam. I think I'd probably get her to teach me to fire a P90, because it looks like fun.
7. If you could change one thing about #3's plot line, what would you change? (Atlantis)
I'd have kept them cut off from Earth a bit longer. I know why they did it, but I don't think we'll ever gain that same feeling of isolation again. However, we wouldn't have met Hermiod or Lorne, so I can forgive them.
8. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #2, and why you like the relationship between them. (Traders)
I love the relationship between Grant and Darby. I love the fact Darby took Grant under his wing, and would consider him a friend even though Grant can be a real burden. He gave him his spare room, and took him to hospital, and he's the only person who doesn't consider Grant to be a child – just a naïve younger brother. Grant is also much more himself around Darby. He doesn't stammer as much and always asks the questions he wants to ask.
9. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be? (West Wing and Atlantis)
Rob Lowe or Joe Flanigan? That's just unfair. Even with their characters it would be unfair because both Josh and Rodney would be equally devastated.
To be honest, I'd probably spend too long procrastinating on the bank to be of any use to either of them. Rob Lowe is Rob Lowe, but then Joe Flanigan has never slept with underage girls, (to my knowledge), and doesn't seem to have any kind of ego at all. To my surprise I'm saving Joe Flanigan.
10. If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose? (SG1)
I think I'd give someone else the Andcredit, just to see if Michael Shanks would have a hissy fit. (He strikes me as the type). The Andcredit always seems to be the most important to me. The lead goes first, but they're rarely the most interesting characters or the actor most worthy of credit. If I were to have a credit, I'd want the Andcredit.
Ask me this question again when Vala is in the titles (I bet she's either the Andcredit or before Amanda Tapping and Christopher Judge). Then I'll care more.
11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #5, what would the character be like and what would their role be? (Smallville)
Young Bruce Wayne. But only if I had control over casting and script writing, otherwise I'd rather they steered clear.
12. What happens in your favourite episode of show #2? (Traders)
I've watched 35 of them in the last two weeks so things are starting to merge. So far though it would have to be 'Pledge of Allegience'.
Marty and Ann fighting over who gets to use Grant. Grant in an air vent, Grant talking to a flower (and covering the flower's eyes so it can't see when the stock crashes). Chris being snarky, and Benny pulling himself out of his funk to save Grant's ass.
13. If you could kill off one of the characters of #1, who would it be and how would you do it? (West Wing)
Oooh, even without recent events, I'd probably choose Leo because his character interacts with all the others so much.
14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose? (Atlantis or Smallville)
Oh , there's no challenge in that. Atlantis, without a doubt, mainly just to touch the Stragate. Plus, Smallville's next door.
15. So, I saved the best question for last. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?
You're making me choose between Josh, Lex and Rodney? That's just…. Could I date all three of them.
The sensible me would choose Josh. The hedonistic me would chose Lex. In reality it's far more likely to be Rodney. And, boy, does it say a lot about me that those three have remarkable similarities.
