Fantastic South Africans

lemonbellaSo, it turns out that the reason my cricket kharma has been so bad so far this season is so that my three days of South Africans could be stupendous.
1) Graeme Smith is *huge* and south african and all Graemey. And a complete and utter show-off.
2) I have a huge and slightly embarrasing crush on Neil McKenzie. They are his socks in the icon. *points*
3) Mark Boucher gives head massages, even to people who don't seem to really want one.
4) Hashim Amla can zip his jacket up over his beard
5) Makhaya Ntini is absolutely crackers
6) Mark Boucher is a tiny person.
7) Dale Steyn gets sent to collect plates of sandwiches at lunch time.
8) Morne Morkel is too fast to have pictures taken of him.
9) The team are allowed to make up their own rules for training games after the match and they behave *exactly* like teenage boys.
10) Graeme Smith cheats at his bleep tests.
11) They have special fleecy south african tracksuits to travel on the coach in.
We saw cricket, Graeme practised batting right in front of us, and there was a lot ofslightly very inappropriate touching on the balcony. In short, everything you could have wanted from South Africans.

Date: 2008-07-03 07:48 pm (UTC)He clearly cheats at his bleep tests. He took three steps forward before the coach blew the whistle and at one point had to be called back to start again because he'd cheated so much.
He came out to practise his batting and had a whole ground to choose from and he chose the bit where all the crowd were so that people would cheer him and call him Smiffy.
Also, he was clearly in charge and did all the decision making and pointing even though Prince was supposed to be captain.
He sat with his arm around one of the coaches for at least 10 minutes and he ate a triangular sandwich.
*sigh*
