I'm feeling really crappy at the moment and there's not a proper reason why. It's just lots of little things.
Work is busy, meaning I have to work through the next couple of weekends and may not get to Canterbury at all this season.
My cats aren't getting on, meaning the spectre of having to return Sunshine is always threatening, when I'd hoped it would be gone by now.
I may have to miss the Cardiff ODI due to work and cats and stupidly, stupidly booking a date in September when I knew it would be problematic.
I need friendly cats, South Africans to do well, and some chocolate. I'm going to remedy that last one right now.

Date: 2008-08-28 10:50 pm (UTC)nothing at work can possibly be so pressing that you cannot take a couple od days off. if you took a half hour lunch break for a fortnight, that's most of the two days off made up for right there. if there is too much work, what are your employers doing to help? who is assisting you with this? what support is your manager providing?
sorry. am somewhat tipsy and was quite hoping to make your acquaintance in wales!

Date: 2008-08-29 04:46 pm (UTC)i think your subconscious is upset that if you do go to cardiff, you still won't get to see graeme's special batting. to your subconscious, i say: chin up - there's far more to be seen on the balcony.

Date: 2008-08-29 04:35 pm (UTC)Strauss only chased him four times today. And Hersch chased him back once, so I'm feeling more optimistic. This may have something to do with the two danish pastries I've eaten.

Date: 2008-08-29 08:13 pm (UTC)I've found there are few if any situations in life that don't get a little bit better after a danish pastry. Especially if it's a maple pecan one, or one of those big curly ones with icing on.
