I am spending the first three weeks of April in Canada! I fly to Calgary, visit my friends and godchildren for just over a week (in which my itinerary is being designed by a 3 year old, so it should suit me completely) and then I get a train across to Vancouver, do all manner of exciting things, get very cold and then fly home from Vancouver.

My cats are looked after, my flights are booked, my train is booked and my B&B is booked. Okay, I'm panicking a little bit now. Mostly, because the B&B doesn't have a TV.....

I have Graeme and his rucksack as my icon because I'm going on a trip.

That sounds excellent!

Of course, Canada could sink before April. That sort of thing happens to me a lot.

Whoo hoo! I don't have any Canadian icons or I would give you some of them. Maybe we could find some of Graeme looking chilly somewhere with bears.

There must be some kind of portable TV/DVD device you could take to Canada.

I so hope there's a picture somewhere of Graeme looking chilly with bears. So far I can't find anywhere that will promise me bears. They appear to be inconsideratly hibernating at that time of year

I'm planning to buy one out there.

I shall cross my fingers and hope it's unseasonably warm and they all wake up early.

Can you get texts in and out of Canada?

I'm still looking out for people who will take me to see sleeping bears, because I'd be happy with that.

The B&B has internet, so I will expect email Graeme updates

I saw a sleeping polar bear and frankly it was very disappointing. You should take something to see if you can make them be awake without getting eaten.

It has internet but no TV? Canada is a strange strange place.

If you never hear from me again, it's because I poked a bear. It's the way I'd like to go.

It's a public computer, so I may need to have some kind of censoring system on the emails.

When I do the eulogy I shall make sure to tell people it's what you would have wanted.

At some point during those three weeks I'll have to spend three nights sharing a shed with a pensioner and trying to stay awake. Someone on Canadian time would have come in handy.

I've deleted that because it wasn;t terribly articulate.

If there's anything canadian you want, let me know.

I was going to ask for some kind of maple-flavoured item but that's a much better idea.

Paul Gross has aged well too, and may well be cheaper.

I can try for a maple-flavoured Michael Shanks if you like.

If Canada doesn't produce maple-flavoured Michael Shankses then frankly it's failing as a country.

Otherwise any kind of discarded ancient technology would make me happy.

Oh... I *so* want a piece of discarded Ancient technology.

Good Answer. I'm secretly considering going to the Stargate studios and seeing if they're turning out the old sets. You never know, maybe I'll find him in a skip.
