I have an interview for a new job, which is quite exciting. It's slightly awkward as I have to tell my boss about said interview, two weeks after they've just promoted me. Still they should've been nicer to me, and the chances of getting the new job are still fairly slim.

Nothing much else has happened. I spent ridiculous amounts of money at Forbidden Planet. (comics were on offer, it would've been a crime not to) I then spent the weekend reading, eating, watching Spinal Tap and A Mighty Wind and half tidying my bedroom.

My life really is a whirlwind...

Do you *have* to tell your boss? Couldn't you just book a day off/feel suddenly ill?

Unfortunately, she has to give me a reference before the interview, so yes. I told her this morning and she looked suitably annoyed...
