I'm feeling a bit better..
Sep. 15th, 2004 10:16 pmAs I'm sure you will all be pleased to know, hanging on to ever word I utter about my mental state.
I have received info from the OU about my postgraduate research course, which has buoyed my spirits a little. It is research methods which is something I deliberately avoided whilst doing my MA but also something that I really should have. Plus a major part is to design a research proposal for a PhD - which I already have done and finished. At least it may prevent my brain from dribbling out of my ears.
I am prepared for the Wedding From Hell: (it's been upgraded) I have a stupid pashmina; I have stupid shoes; I have a stupid dress; I have a fantastic purple bra and knickers; I have re-printed the reading I am doing, so the punctuation is correct; I have prepared a myriad of ways to say: "Yes I am single, and happy with it, even though you obviously think it is a sign of failure; I have a selection of pornographic thoughts to occupy myself with during the service and speeches.
I go away to Cornwall for a few days after that, and I am nearly all packed. I also have a notebook of things to finish writing whilst I'm away, and two Smallville tapes so I can escape reality and complete the GSA before Season Four starts.
I have Things To Do. Life is much better when there are Things To Do.
