Things I would like from the England Cricket Team for this test match, not generally. Most of the things I want from the England Cricket Team generally are unprintable, and require much more flexibility than I'm sure they actually have in real life. Except Geraint, I expect he's pretty much as flexible as I imagine... Okay, moving on.

1) Some wickets. Ideally, 20. Failing that, can we just try to bowl at the batsmen?
2) Some runs. Ideally more than 400. Failing that, can everyone please try not to throw their wickets away?
3) Someone to hurt Warne quite badly.
4) Paul Collingwood to try and physically intimidate Matthew Hayden. Failing that, Ricky Ponting, Which really shouldn't be that hard.
5) For everyone to look like they enjoy being there.
6) For commentators to stop lumping the Jones decision and the Giles decision in together. They are not the same issue in the slightest.
7) Steve Harmison not to humiliate us all.
8) A fifty from Geraint, please.

There's a rumour going around on the radio that England are going to name an unchanged side. WTF?

Yeah, I read that... I'm not trusting it till I actually hear it.

It does seem like Adelaide isn't turning as much as people expected - The aussies are only playing one spinner, and to play two left arm finger spinners the pitch would really have to be turning. However, I'd still be inclined to swap Monty for Giles.

It's confirmed, it's been confirmed. ASERDTFYGUHINJ.

My only guess is, it really isn't turning. Monty is not a defensive spinner and will go for a lot of runs, whereas Giles can play the containing role better. And when your fast bowlers are leaking runs all over the place....

I'm not sure why I'm defending the decision, it's a stupid decision.

*waves small *go munchkins* flag*

I don't believe I'm opting to torture myself by sitting through it all again. What is wrong with me?

We should have Go Munchkins hats, and wear them to test matches.

If you're thinking of things that Paul Collingwood isn't flexible enough to do I really, really want to know never want to find out. Okay?

Actually, he is quite flexible when you think about it.

I don't think about it as often as I should, frankly, but I've seen pictures and he seems very bendy.

It's hard to think about, because you have to think about him by himself - but whenever he's trying to escape he seem to be very enterprising.

This is only related to the flexibility of Paul Collingwood in a very tangential way, but in Hoggy's new video diary he's filmed himself getting into an ice bath. It's worth watching on many levels.
