Fandom help needed!
Apr. 6th, 2008 07:44 pmI was re-reading some of my old fics and remembering how much I used to like writing and re-writing and posting and then panicking because I'd missed a comma in the fourth paragraph. And then I decided that the reason I seem unable to write fic anymore is that I don't read it as much as I used to.
So fandom people, I want recs and I want them now.
I can't risk re-entering the fic world by myself. I might stumble across one of those ones where Rodney McKay talks like a teenage girl and cries himself to sleep and then I'll never be able to face it again. I'll have to give up fandom and get a job in an office. That leads to buying a house, marriage, children, worring about the amount of calories in bread and you know, turning into one of *those* people. The ones you see walking down the street who obviously don't get over excited at the phrase entropic cascade failure. *shudder*
So I'm handing over my entire future to you. Give me your recommendations: Old stuff, new stuff; long stuff, short stuff; The usual fandoms -Atlantis, Smallville, Justice League, Traders, West Wing, Sports Night - or different fandoms (is Supernatural worth venturing into?) The darker the better and no teenage girls, please.
