Badgers can't be choosers
Nov. 21st, 2008 07:34 pmLast night I saw Eddie Izzard's new live show Stripped at the Lyric Theatre in London. In a word, stupendous. In two words, absolutely stupendous
I was a bit worried, as the last show wasn't as funny as I've come to expect, and my friend Angie and I feared that the acting and reduction in make-up was somehow sapping him of his funniness.
From the moment badgers with creme brules were mentioned, I knew he was back.
I haven't laughed so much in a long, long time. As always with Izzard, there's absolutely nothing you can understand without having been there and so many things I desperately wanted to remember but forgot. I hope it's being filmed.
( None of these will make any sense to anyone who hasn't seen the show, but they're just here to remind me. )
I need some Izzard icons.... *goes on hunt*
