Geraint Watch is back!
May. 5th, 2008 03:16 pmI didn't go to the Oval today. I was going to, but I had some work to do. None of which I have done because Geraint has been all excellent. At some point I am going to have a word with Geraint and the cricketing gods about the whole spending six days and a lot of money to watch Geraint score precisely one run (and sit through Tredwell's 100) and then him scoring 87 when I could have been there but wasn't thing. However, I shall not do that today.
Because today Geraint has the special look back. The one where he doesn't bother to run but just admires his own batting. He hasn't had that look for quite a while. It's a look that accompanies the special batting and makes me make a high pitched noise that scares my cat.
*sigh*
ETA: Also, can I just say this illustrates my *precise* point. Stop sending him in at number 8! He's not a number 8 batsman!
ETA2: And he was so excellent at wicket keeping that he made Bob Willis say something nice! Bob Willis has never ever said anything nice about Geraint ever. In fact, he's gone out of his way and lied in order that he could say something mean.
