Oh, for crying out loud...
Oct. 9th, 2006 09:59 pmOkay, I know I like learning. I know I'm above average intelligence. I know that intelligence and academic ability are by no means the most important traits for a person to possess.
However, why is the world full of so many bloody idiots?
I have now been attending my Stage One 7407 (the course you need to complete to be a qualified post compulsory education teacher) for three weeks. So far I have learned.... absolutely nothing.
Absolutely nothing except the fact that the teacher is an imbecile who cannot teach to save his life.
Today we spent seven minutes discussing synonyms for the word 'ability'. This is a course aimed at people who teach other people. Dear god, shouldn't we be able to assume they can use a thesaurus? And if not, couldn't we send them away from me in order for them to learn?
It's like my first month of primary school when I told my teacher I'd already finished all the Checkpoint Reading Books and she made me read the whole bloody lot again. Slowly. For the next four years.
